LRF1829C accuracy and range test conditions
A range number needs a target and conditions. Accuracy: ±2 m.
Range, accuracy and rate as published
| Parameter | Published value | Condition / note |
|---|---|---|
| Measuring Range Separate target/atmospheric test conditions, as listed. | a) Under line-of-sight conditions, with visibility not less than 26 km and humidity not greater than 50% (at 30 °C), the ranging distance for a vehicle target (3 m × 3 m) is ≥ 18,000 m. b) Under line-of-sight conditions, with visibility not less than 30 km and humidity not greater than 50% (at 30 °C), the ranging distance for a target with diffuse reflectance not less than 30% (6 m × 6 m) is ≥ 23,000 m. | |
| Minimum range | ≤50 m | |
| Measurement frequency | 0.5Hz ~10Hz | |
| Ranging accuracy | ±2 m | |
| Range Resolution | ≤0.1 m | |
| Precision Rate | ≥98% | |
| False alarm rate | ≤1% |
How to read the conditions
Reflectivity is the fraction of laser light the target returns: a white board is about 90 percent, a building about 70 percent, grass and soil 10–30 percent. Visibility limits long-range figures because haze absorbs the pulse both ways. When two modules quote different targets, convert both to the same target before comparing; the open module database lists every vendor's condition next to its number.
