LRF1500H on Raspberry Pi: Python UART reader
A Raspberry Pi reads the LRF1500H through /dev/serial0 at 460800 baud. The erdi-lrf package on PyPI decodes the frames; the Pi repository adds a CSV logger, an MQTT publisher and a systemd service.
Enable the UART
Run sudo raspi-config → Interface Options → Serial Port: login shell off, serial hardware on. Wire LRF1500H TX → GPIO15 (RXD), RX → GPIO14 (TXD), GND → GND. The Pi UART is 3.3 V; the published interface is UART/IIC.
