LRF22VB · 905 nm Single-Point LiDAR Sensor
LRF22VB UART wiring, pinout and serial protocol
The LRF22VB talks UART/IIC and is powered from 3–3.6 V DC. Wire TX to the host RX, RX to the host TX, share ground, then send one of the commands below.
Electrical interface

Reading it from a computer
Open the port at the baud rate above, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. The UART protocol decoder shows the frames live in a browser over WebSerial, and the erdi-lrf-drivers repository has Python, Arduino and ROS 2 readers for this frame format.

FAQ
What is the maximum range of the LRF22VB?
The published range is 0.05–20 m (90% reflectivity); 0.05–10 m (10% reflectivity) (The two source values remain bound to their stated target reflectivity.). A range figure is only comparable together with the target and conditions it was measured on, so the condition is listed next to the value.
Which interface does the LRF22VB use?
The published communication interface is UART/IIC.
What laser wavelength does the LRF22VB use?
The published wavelength is 905 nm; laser safety entry: Class 1.
How much does the LRF22VB cost?
The published single-unit price of the LRF22VB is $12, falling to $8 per unit at the largest published quantity band. Prices include shipping and are ordered directly from erdilrf.com.
