ERDI TECH LTD is a Chengdu, China company that develops and supplies ERDILRF laser rangefinder modules for OEM and ODM buyers. Buyers get published per-model datasheets and protocol documents, open-source drivers, an engineering evaluation process, and written quotations. Products are for civil use only, and orders are screened against export-control lists.
Who ERDI TECH LTD is
ERDI TECH LTD was founded on 7 May 2021 and is registered in Chengdu, Sichuan. The registered address is Room 2812, 28/F, Building 3, No. 88 Jiaozi Avenue, Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone, China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Chengdu, Sichuan, China. The Unified Social Credit Code is 91510100MA64PTJK1U, which you can look up in the Chinese company registry when you run supplier due diligence.
The registered business scope includes import and export of goods, import and export of technology, import and export agency, sales of optoelectronic devices, and wholesale and retail of electronic components. That means the company is set up to invoice and ship internationally.
The quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015. The certificate scope covers research and development of optoelectronic devices (solid-state lasers, semiconductor lasers and laser rangefinders) and sales of optoelectronic devices; it is valid from 19 May 2025 to 18 May 2028. A copy is available on request. We list only the certificates we can document for a given model, so ask in writing if your approval process needs a specific test report or declaration for the unit you plan to buy.
We do not publish a headcount, factory area or production capacity on this page, because those figures are not part of the documents we can stand behind. If your audit needs them, ask and we will answer in writing.
What OEM and ODM buyers receive
Published datasheets and protocol documents
Per-model datasheets and protocol documents are posted on the downloads page. Each model page under all models shows the specifications from the manufacturer’s own technical table. Where the manual does not state a value, we write that it is not stated, instead of copying a number from a sibling model. That matters: VB series modules report millimetres, H series modules report centimetres, and the LR E-series reports the actual value multiplied by 10.
Where a manual contradicts itself, we say so and confirm the delivered configuration with engineering before you fix a design parameter. A buyer who reads the datasheet carefully will find these notes, and we would rather you find them from us.
Open-source drivers with archive references
The erdi-lrf-drivers repository on GitHub provides Python, Arduino and ROS 2 drivers transcribed from the model manuals. Archived references are on Zenodo: the technical note and the driver software archive v0.1.0. The drivers page lists the downloads. Integration guides are linked from the UART-TTL integration guide and the Pixhawk and ArduPilot connection guide.
Engineering evaluation
Evaluation starts from your decision, not from our catalogue. We ask for the information that changes the answer:
- the target surface and environment (indoor or outdoor, sun, rain, dust),
- the distance range and the allowed error,
- the host interface and logic level, supply voltage and available space,
- the update rate you need and whether first-reading delay matters,
- the project stage: concept, prototype or production.
For a more rigorous evaluation we agree on a capture plan with you: the exact model, batch or firmware and manual version, the host and serial configuration, raw serial bytes kept with their order and any error frames, a decoded table traceable to those bytes, and an independent reference distance. A result applies only to the configuration and conditions tested. We do not extend one measurement to a whole product family, and an evaluation is not a delivery commitment.
How to prepare an RFQ
A request that includes the following gets a faster and more accurate answer:
- Candidate model, or the range and interface you need if you have not chosen one.
- Application and host platform (UAV, robot, handheld instrument, fixed monitoring).
- Annual and first-order quantity, and destination country.
- Mechanical envelope, connector constraints and any requested modification, described as a question for review.
- The documents your approval process needs.
Read the OEM and ODM customization process before you write, then send the request through the sample and quote form. Lead time and minimum order quantity are confirmed in writing with the quotation. We do not quote them in advance, because they depend on model, configuration and quantity.
Samples and payment
Samples and small orders go through the same quotation route. Payment options are confirmed on the proforma invoice, and account details are sent only on that document. Sample terms are confirmed in writing with the quotation.
Product family overview
The catalogue is organised into series. The range spans below are the lowest and highest figures listed in the model records; each model page gives the reflectivity, target and visibility conditions behind its number.
| Series | Models | Range span as listed |
|---|---|---|
| VB series | LRF10VB, LRF22VB, LRF50VB | 0.05–9 m up to 0.05–50 m (90% refl.) |
| H series | LRF50H, LRF100H, LRF200H, LRF300H, LRF600H, LRF1500H | 0.05–50 m up to 0.05–1,500 m (90% refl.) |
| SPD series | SPD1200N0, SPD1200N2, SPD1200N4, SPD1200Z2, SPD1200S2 | 0.2–1,200 m |
| LR series | LR1000E2, LR1000E4, LR1200E2, LR1200E4, LR1500E2, LR1500E4, LR2000E2, LR2000E4, LR1000D23, LR1500D23 | 4–1,000 m up to 4–2,000 m |
| A series | LRF1200A1, LRF3000A1 | ≥5–1,200 m (building target) and ≥ 3,000 m @ 70% reflectivity, building target |
For a side-by-side table with interface, supply voltage, weight and laser class for every model, see laser rangefinder modules for OEM integration. Drone and gimbal builders can start at laser rangefinder modules for UAV and gimbal payloads, and product companies that integrate modules into their own line can read the integrators page. Application pages cover civil UAVs, industrial sensing, handheld instruments, field measurement, site monitoring and optical observation.
The LRF3000A1 is described in the LRF3000A1 deep dive, and the choice between wavelengths in 905 nm versus 1535 nm. ERDILRF is a 905 nm product line; where a datasheet states a different wavelength (the LRF10VB datasheet states 940 nm), the datasheet governs.
Compliance stance
Our modules are sold for civil use: UAV altimetry and payloads, industrial and robotic sensing, handheld and field instruments, site monitoring and optical observation. Laser safety statements, such as IEC 60825-1 Class 1, are the self-declaration made in each model’s manual and are quoted per model. They are not third-party certificates. The Class 1 eye safety article explains what the class means and what it does not cover.
We screen orders against export-control lists before shipment, we do not ship to sanctioned destinations, and larger orders or unclear end uses can require extra information from the buyer. If your project needs an export document, a country-of-origin statement or an end-use statement, say so in the first message. We can only confirm what the shipment actually requires after we know the model, quantity and destination.
