LRF100H UART wiring, pinout and serial protocol
The LRF100H talks UART, IIC and is powered from 9–36 V DC. Wire TX to the host RX, RX to the host TX, share ground, then send one of the commands below.

LRF100H serial commands
Frame header 5C, 4-byte frames, 460800 baud, 8N1. The full frame layout and checksum are in the protocol document of erdi-lrf-drivers.
Reading it from a computer
Open the port at the baud rate above, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. The UART protocol decoder shows the frames live in a browser over WebSerial, and the erdi-lrf-drivers repository has Python, Arduino and ROS 2 readers for this frame format.

FAQ
What is the maximum range of the LRF100H?
The published range is 0.05–100 m (90% reflectivity); 0.05–30 m (10% reflectivity) (The two source values remain bound to their stated target reflectivity.). A range figure is only comparable together with the target and conditions it was measured on, so the condition is listed next to the value.
Which interface does the LRF100H use?
The published communication interface is UART, IIC.
What laser wavelength does the LRF100H use?
The published wavelength is 905 nm; laser safety entry: Class 1.
How much does the LRF100H cost?
The published single-unit price of the LRF100H is $200, falling to $80 per unit at the largest published quantity band. Prices include shipping and are ordered directly from erdilrf.com.
